When Russian missiles fall on her Ukrainian city, Valentyna Veretksa, an athlete, flees with her kid daughter, and competes in marathons around the world waving Ukraine's flag and imploring the world to do more for all who, like her husband, stayed behind to resist the invasion back home. The brutality of the attacks on Ukraine are contrasted with the unbreakable spirit of its citizens.
