A year after Jeff was ghosted, he sits with his friends and discusses whether or not he had a "moment" with a girl. When Jeff meets Riley, sparks fly and he will have to decide whether he will let the trauma from the ghosting to affect his relationship with Riley.

From the director
Sometime around two years ago, I was ghosted by a girl I had a huge crush on and was friends with online. While our relationship was completely online, I felt I had known her, and when I was ghosted by her, it stung. Thats why I ultimately made this film about trust. Just like Jeff, I felt my ability to trust shaken by the ghosting. Through The Moment, I wanted to explore how that can happen and how that trauma can reverberate even a year after something like this can occur. Making this film has not only been one of the most profoundly enjoyable creative experiences of my life, but it was also incredibly therapeutic, and I feel that after making it, I can find my way back to myself, so to speak. The Moment is a hilarious film, and I’m immensely proud of the entire cast and crew. I also hope that when people watch it, they take from it the importance of communication and that we need to talk with one another, not leave each other in the dust. Having interactions online can be hard, as things people say can easily be misconstrued or misunderstood. But what I’ve learned is that it’s important to keep going, and when you find yourself in “moments” like Jeff does, take advantage and don’t let go!
