When Anthony, a seasoned cop, attends a domestic abuse call alongside rookie Ana, he realizes he was once best friends with the subjects of the call and has to grapple with their horrific actions and hold the right person accountable.

From the director
Upon getting the opportunity to direct Due Process I wanted to capture this story with the utmost sensitivity and conviction. This was my first time directing and many of the crew’s first opportunities to make something together in certain roles. Due Process is a compilation of many committed hours to making the project everything it could be given our time constraints. The story itself focuses on the relationships between Jessica, Elias, and Anthony as former high school best friends, as their reconnection unfolds in real-time. At the same time, Anthony tries to stitch together what has happened in between Elias and Jessica. This short film is a commentary on the phrase ‘you don’t know what happens beyond closed doors’ and the story perpetuates itself on the fact that Anthony had once been incredibly close with the couple, and now re-enters the dynamic years later, expecting to know everything that has transgressed over time.
