Shawn Johnson develops dissociative amnesia after witnessing his mother's suicide as a child. Ten years after the suicide, Shawn bumps into his old babysitter and is hit with a memory that makes him question the details around his mom's suicide. From this interaction Shawn learns that he can recovery memories by being around people or in places from his past, so he sets out on a mission to recover his lost memories and uncover the details around his mother's alleged suicide. This inevitably leads to a colliding path with his bitter ex stepfather who believes Shawn's mother was the reason for his cocaine empire being taken down law enforcement.
