Max began developing the idea for the Hollywood North International Film Festival (HNIFF) in Vancouver in 2016, with plans to launch its inaugural edition in 2020. The COVID-19 pandemic delayed those plans, and the festival ultimately held its first edition in 2023. Three editions later, HNIFF has screened more than 350 films from 56 countries and presented 13 awards under the iconic dome of the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre.
A stage actor for many years, Max has a long-standing passion for storytelling and cinema. His primary creative interests are screenwriting and film production, with a focus on developing original stories and bringing independent film projects to the screen.
