Using this site means agreeing to these terms. They are short on purpose.

Accounts

You sign in with your email address and a one-time code. Keep control of that inbox — anyone who can read it can sign in as you. We may suspend an account used abusively.

The films

Every film on this platform belongs to its filmmaker. The festival streams each film with its maker's consent, for the window its maker agreed to. Films can and do leave the platform when their window ends.

Watching

Your account is for personal, non-commercial viewing. Recording, ripping, re-uploading or redistributing any film is not permitted — it is the filmmaker's work, not ours to give away and not yours to take.

Likes

A like is one account's vote of appreciation for a film. Accounts created to manipulate likes will be removed, and so will their likes.

No warranty

The platform is provided as it is. We work to keep it available and correct, but we don't promise uninterrupted service, and we are not liable for losses arising from its use beyond what the law requires.

Rights concerns

If you believe something on this site infringes your rights, write to info@hollywoodnorthfilmfestival.org with the film or page and the basis of your concern, and we will respond promptly.

Changes and law

These terms may change; the current version always lives at this address. They are governed by the laws of British Columbia and Canada.
